Old rivals Hawthorn and Essendon will battle it out once again at the mighty MCG this Saturday.

After many years of squabbling and fighting in the past, great anticipation has been built for this week’s do-or-die clash.

Earlier in the season when the Hawks and Bombers went head-to-head, it was the Hawks who were victorious. A healthy 23-point margin separated the two back in May.

As we enter the business end of the season, many matches have suddenly rose in significance, and this is no exception.

If the Bombers win, they become one step closer to making finals. The same goes for the Hawks, who are currently in the top eight, but need wins in order to hold their spot.

In the match against the Dockers last week, it was Tom Mitchell who enjoyed 42 touches, but just under him on the stat sheet read Jaeger O’Meara with 33 disposals. If Jaeger can stay in form for another match, he should easily be able to get above 25 touches. In the match back in round seven, O’Meara was still recovering from his knee and making his way back into full-time footy, but it didn’t stop him from getting 22 touches, which gives us plenty of confidence he will accumulate over 25.

Dyson Heppell to get 30 disposals @ $2.25

Last week’s match was not the highest for disposals, as the Swans would normally negate the influence of all the midfielders, but it was Essendon captain Dyson Heppell who had 31, which was the most on the ground. Dyson will bring that form into this match and be able to find the footy over 30 times.
