Melbourne Spring Carnival bet bonus offers
The Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival is undoubtedly the biggest racing carnival in Australia. It is home to some of the richest races this great brown land can muster and is a great showcase for local and international talent.
The Spring Racing Carnival is held during October and November, conveniently nestled between the end of the AFL season and the beginning of the summer of cricket in Australia, so punters are never short of something to have a flutter on. We are Aussies, we need sport to gamble on all year round.
A collection of racing carnivals scattered around Melbourne and Geelong in Victoria combine to create the Spring Racing Carnival.

Bookies with Spring Carnival promos
When having a bit of a punt on the races, especially the Spring Racing Carnival, we trust our action with the following bookies. Not only because of their reputation for player safety and security but the great odds they offer as well as the promotions they offer their customers too.
How to cash in on Spring Carnival betting bonuses?
Unfortunately new account or sign up bonuses have been banned at online betting sites, following an upgrade to the National Gambling Framework, which was rolled out on May 26. This means Australians can no longer be offered incentives to open a new betting account, but they are still free to receive things like cash back and early payout deals.
Most bookies have a protest payout these days which means if you have a win only bet on a horse that is first or second past the post but the winner eventual loses due to a protest both horses are paid at their winning odds.
Outside of that check each of your bookie accounts’ promotions page every day of the Spring Carnival to see if your bookie is offering some of the following promotions:
- Inflated odds on a selected race throughout the Spring Carnival.
- If your win only horse is second or third past the post you receive your money back up to a certain amount.
- App downloads: With plenty of laws clamping down on freebet promotions, bookies often give you a bonus for downloading their app, after you have opened an account, in Australia
Am I entitled to a bonus?
Some bonuses and promotions are not available to residents of Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia or South Australia due to those states’ gambling laws relating to the promotion of gambling.
The laws surrounding these bonus bets are usually to do with enticing you to sign up. Generally the bookie is still allowed to offer you the same deal if you are already a member and they are paying any bonus in real money, so it pays to be ready for the spring to roll around, by opening multiple betting accounts at different bookies.
Check the terms of conditions of each promotion or bonus to ensure you are eligible. Please note that this page is highlighting the legal Australian bet bonus offers you can claim on the 2019 Spring Carnival.
