All odds are provided by leading online bookmakers recommended by Bettingsite.com.au

Randwick Race 6: #2 Vilana @ +350

The Group 3 Sydney Stakes (1200m) is the perfect appetizer for The Everest (1200m) and has brought together a strong field of 16 sprinters. Vilana gets the nod for is as he makes his return from a 126-day spell for the James Cummings yard, and the now five-year-old boasts outstanding credentials in a race like this. The son of Hallowed Crown has a first-up record of (4:3-1-0) to go along with an undefeated record of three starts for three wins at Randwick. He won at this track and trip in the Group 3 Hall Mark Stakes (1200m) to kick-off his previous campaign, so if he can replicate something similar, Vilana will test these.

Caulfield Race 3: #8 Carini @ +170

Win and you are in to the 2023 Caulfield Cup (2400m), that is what is is on offer for the winner of the Group 3 Herbert Power Stakes (2400m). It is where we find our best of the day, the Danny O’Brien-trained Carini. The four-year-old gelding needs to win a race like the Herbert Power to remain relevant in Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Cup discussions, but his win last time out at Flemington suggests he should prove too good for this lot on Saturday. He got the better of Sibaaq and Aberfeldie Boy in impressive style on that day and despite being four weeks between runs and stepping up to the 2400m from the 1700m, he looks to have a class edge on his rivals.

Eagle Farm Race 6: #17 Mission Of Love @ +140

After recording a dominant win first-up, the John Symons & Sheila Laxon-trained Mission Of Love got too far back at her most recent start, but she ran home nicely into fifth place over 1500m at this track. This daughter of The Mission will appreciate the extra 100m when she steps up to 1600m on Saturday, as well as the extra speed that is expected. With Jaden Lloyd jumping back aboard for his third ride on this four-year-old mare, we expect Lloyd to settle mid-field from a good barrier (7) and give Mission Of Love every chance to return to the winners circle once again.

Morphettville Race 5: #8 Street Delight @ +250

Street Delight has finished second at her last two starts but gets her chance to go one better on Saturday. The mare hailing from the Phillip Stokes yard continually runs on and looks a winner in the making but manages to run into one better on the day in recent times. She draws to gain a perfect run under Lachlan Neindorf from barrier three. Street Delight is obviously the in-form horse in the race, albeit without winning and with even luck in the home straight, he should bring up a well overdue win.

Ascot Race 7: #1 Ruler Rocket @ +280

Ruler Rocket finally broke through for a deserving win last start, where nothing went his way, but his class saw him run over the top of his rivals late to record a dominant victory over 1000m at Belmont. This four-year-old gelding has yet to miss the placings from eight career starts, and with the confidence of his recent victory, we expect that the Bruce Watkins-trained galloper will go on with it now. This son of Universal Ruler will have to carry 60kg, but from a nice draw, Ruler Rocket should be able to stalk the speed and play a prominent role in the finish.
