Rivalry, a Canadian-based online betting company, has entered the Australian sports betting scene and is expected to make quite a splash. Rivalry.bet has an intense focus on esports, which is a massive growth area at online bookmakers and they stack up exceptionally well. This Rivalry review will take a look at all aspects of the business, including the Rivalry apps, Rivalry sign up bonus offers and promotions, deposit options, licensing and company history,
Introducing Rivalry sports betting
Rivalry gained an Australian sports betting licence from the Northern Territory Racing Commission (NTRC) back in February, 2022. The Canadian-based betting firm, Rivalry, then started taking wagers in Australia in May 2022.
Providing both traditional sports gambling and esports betting services, the company started accepting deposits and bets from Australian punters early May 2022.
This licence permits the company to provide sports betting to the Australian market, granting full access to Rivalry’s online bookmaker, which covers everything from basketball, football, rugby to boxing.
Rivalry is also one of the few Australian bookmakers to provide a complete esports betting service. The Canadian brand runs markets for a wide array of titles which includes League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Dota 2, Overwatch, Valorant and StarCraft II.
Rivalry successfully launched in Ontario in April 2022 – one of the biggest markets in North America. Australia is now its second regulated market and only started taking bets in May.
Relatively new, the Rivalry betting site took the market unaware! Established in 2018, Rivalry works to offer you a unique betting experience. Their main attention is on eSports betting, but that doesn’t mean you won’t find football matches and other games to bet on.
Rivalry loves being set aside, which is why you will see a plethora of eSports-associated news and a committed betting academy for people who are new to eSports. Rivalry betting takes great measures to offer each customer a fair experience. Rivalry betting takes great pride in being sincere, and it shows.
Rivalry Sports Betting Markets Offered
The markets at Rivalry look limited when compared to other bookmakers out there. Of course, the main focus is eSports, but they could still do much more with other markets that they offer. But, if you feel like just betting one or two on a football match, it will serve your needs just fine. Even though, don’t expect big coverage like eSports.
Sports you can wager on at Rivalry include:
- football
- baseball
- American football
- tennis
- basketball
- Volleyball
- boxing
- MMA
- hockey
Rivalry.com odds analysis — do they stack up?
The odds that are seen in Rivalry differ from one game to the other. But, if you compare the site’s odds with odds provided by other big sports betting sites, you’ll see that Rivalry stands out from the crowd. The odds for baseball and football might differ, but payouts are calculated in the same manner.
Live betting & streaming at Rivalry
Live betting is a feature of Rivalry.com, however these types of bets online are banned in Australia, and at the time of writing our Rivalry review, they did not have any telephone betting services.
Rivalry does however allow you to watch numerous esports via their website, which is a pretty common occurrence at online bookies that have a heavy focus on professional video games.
Basically to live stream at Rivalry betting, you just need a strong internet connection and an updated web browser.
Rivalry eSports Betting review
Rivalry is an eSports-focused site; you will see that you can bet on almost every competitive eSports event out there. Wagering on professional video games is growing quickly right around the world and it’s easy to see this accelerating further, with great sites like Rivalry popping up.
Some esports games you can find on the Rivalry site include:
- Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
- Dota 2
- League of Legends
- Call of Duty
- Hearthstone
- Rocket League
- Overwatch
- Valorant
- Starcraft 2
- World of Tanks
- World of Warcraft
- Rainbow 6
- Free Fire
- Smite
- Arena of Valor
As you see the above, this is a long list of eSports that now has betting available on them. If you’re an eSports betting lover, you will love the selections available here.
Unlike most eSports betting sites where you can bet only on the match-winner, at Rivalry, you will discover a load of special betting options. This is in-line with other bookies in Australia, that have greatly expanded what markets they offer in recent years.
On CS:GO, for instance, you can place who wins the match bet, map winner, first pistol round winner, correct map score, handicap bet, and over/under.
As far as Dota 2 and LoL are concerned, you bet on the match-winner, map winner, correct map score, handicap, first tower, first blood, most kills, and total kills over/under.
If you want a good return for your money, Rivalry is an ample betting site. We looked at the odds and compared the odds with other top bookmakers, and there wasn’t much difference. Some events have better odds, while others have worse. We would say the odds are somewhere in the middle.
Rivalry mobile review
Once you log on to the Rivalry mobile website, you will see that the layout is simple. And when it comes to wagering online, simple is good, as you can place bets easily. Everything is divided into categories, so anything you are looking for, and it’s just clicks away.
On the top part of the screen at the Rivalry mobile website, you will see the ‘Betting’ tab, navigate it and pick whether you want to bet on eSports or traditional sports. Other sections include Contests, Promotions, Academy, News, Promos, and Help.
If you want to bet on eSports bet, you will see all of the games showed on the left side. Select your game and see all events available. To place a special bet, click the ‘+’ button next to the games displayed. This will take you to a different page where you can see all the creative bets on offer.
Loading time is pretty fast on mobile and you won’t encounter any problems navigating through the different categories. The Rivalry mobile website is friendly with any mobile device, and you wouldn’t even notice the lack of a dedicated Rivalry app. But, this may strike as bad news for some people, so we hope the developers will soon build a Rivalry app.
Rivalry sports betting history
Rivalry is the brand of Rivalry Limited. The company is headquartered in the Isle of Man and has a license from the local Gambling Supervision Commission. It was established in June 2017 with the focus of providing global esports gambling services.
Rivalry is one of the sponsors of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team – Fnatic. They penned a six-figure deal in 2019, which means they mean business. Moreover, Rivalry is using advanced SSL encryption to make cyber attacks rarely impossible.
In February, Rivalry.com acquired licence from the Northern Territory Racing Commission (NTRC), to offer betting services in the Australian sports betting and esports markets.
Offering both normal sports gambling and esports betting services, the company started accepting deposits and bets from Australian punters in May 2022.
This licence permits the brand to provide sports betting to the Australian market, granting complete access to Rivalry’s sportsbook covering basketball, football, rugby, boxing and several other sports.
Rivalry is also one of the few Australian bookmakers to offer a complete esports betting service. The Canadian company runs markets for a wide array of titles including League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Dota 2, Overwatch, Valorant and StarCraft II.
Rivalry successfully launched in Ontario, April 2022 – one of the biggest markets in North America –. Australia is now its second regulated market and only started taking bets in May.
If you have a gambling addiction problem, Rivalry will permit you to set a deposit/bet limit. Also, you can lock your account for a given period anytime you wish. This is a beautiful Rivalry safety measure that you won’t find on many betting sites.
Rivalry Licensin and regulation
While Rivalry.com is licensed to operate in Australia by the Northern Territory regulator, they are also able to operate in several other regulated online gambling markets.
Rivalry is completely regulated and obtains a license issued by the Isle of Man Supervision Commission. We know for sure this is a credible gambling commission, taking great care of issues concerning the Rivalry safety.
Holding a license from the Isle of Man means there is no Rivalry scam taking place, and there won’t be as long as they have the license. Betting sites must follow certain protocols and regulations before getting a license, which means you can relax as your money is safe with Rivalry.
Rivalry.com deposit options
Rivalry makes it simple to deposit and withdraw money. You can transact on the website making use of the available payment options after you have created a new account.
While writing this Rivalry.com review, we noticed that you must be a verified user to request withdrawals. If not, you will not be able to do so.
When it comes to making deposits at Rivalry, you have an excess of options to pick from althought it’s worth noting not all payment types are available in all countries. For instance, you will not find bitcoin available as a payment type in Australia, despite it being available in other countries. Rivalry.com payment types include:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Maestro
- AstroPay
- Skrill
- Neteller
- Pay4Fun
- MuchBetter
- Yandex
- ecoPayz
- Boleto
- Direct Bank Transfer
- Bitcoin
Deposits at Rivalry are fast and have zero fees. However withdrawals can take a couple of days, mostly depending on which method you pick, but Rivalry will try and process them within 24 hours.
When your account is unverified you will still be able to make a deposit, but you will not be able to withdraw. To withdraw from your new Rivalry acount you will need to complete the verification process by providing a picture of their ID. Unverified users can deposit a max of $100, and are not qualified for making withdrawals.
Verified users are those who have added a photo of their ID. This group of users can deposit and withdraw up to $1,000 per day.
Rivalry review conclusion
More Bookmaker reviews
Rivalry.com has a lot of positive things in its favour and not many negatives. On the negative side, there are many countries where they are restricted, which is probably the biggest strike against them, although that they only operate in regulated countries could be a viewed as a plus. Rivalry.com also does not have a mobile app available but this is fairly minor as the mobile website works well without one.

There are several advantages to offset the few disadvantages at Rivalry.com Australia. They offer a pretty good selection of e-sports to bet on as well as a good amount of sports betting markets. They also have reasonable odds. Like many other good CSGO betting websites there are several ways to deposit and withdraw to your account.
After looking at everything, our conclusion is Rivalry is a good e-sport and sports betting site as long as you are in a country where its use is not restricted. Currently, Rivalry is available in Ontario-Canada and Australia.
IMPOSSIBLE TO WITHDRAWtried withdrawing twice and they will just wait a long time before returning funds to the account and issuing a ticket to make out as if they are trying to fix the issue but what the ticket does is not allow you to contact any of the live chat agents on Saturday was when my $2100 AUD withdrawal was meant to come in when it didn’t I spoke with a live chat agent and they issued a missing withdrawal ticket its now Tuesday I haven’t been responded too once in the ticket since.
before this withdrawal I tried to withdraw $1000 AUD but wasn’t sure what a beneficiary name is after asking 1 of the live chat agents ‘CRASH’ he assured me unless i have kids you only have to put N/A in that section so after a whole week waiting for the business days the money was returned to my account due to the beneficiary name so I went and won more now I’m trying to withdraw 2100 and its almost impossible I fully verified my account 4 weeks ago and yet to receive a single withdrawal from this site that claims 1-3 business days for bank transfer withdrawals VERY DODGY SITE i suggest not betting here will keep updated if im ever paid the money but highly doubt it. SCAMMERS!!
