This Friday night qualifying final is easily the pick of the matchups in the opening week of the 2020 NRL postseason.
If the Sydney Roosters win, a team who just had 60 put on them will be one game away from the NRL Grand Final.
If the Penrith Panthers win, there will no doubt be an avalanche of headlines and soundbites about the supposed decline of the Chooks.
Everybody is aware of Sydney’s credentials after back-to-back premierships, while many feel the Panthers still haven’t proved anything despite winning 15 games in a row.
Penrith did have a softer schedule than most other clubs, which has led to some apprehension among pundits who believe not enough has been asked of them.
