Gold Coast Titans vs Cronulla Sharks betting preview
Three weeks ago, the Cronulla Sharks looked all at sea when they lost to the Dragons, but they head into round eight of the 2020 NRL Premiership looking for their third win in a row.
The Gold Coast Titans showed last week they can be a little frisky if you catch them on the wrong day and cause plenty of nuisance value.
Cronulla look to be close to fully healthy now with Matt Moylan slotting back in at fullback to round out their first-choice spine.
Last year, the Sharks fell to lower-ranked teams whenever they looked poised to win a few in a row, and this contest has ‘trap game’ written all over it.
A game like this on a Saturday afternoon on the Gold Coast has the feel of a high-scoring affair, and the line at 44.5 total points reflects that.

The Titans are no great side, but in these conditions, one feels the Sharks will have to score at least 30 to feel safe.
Cronulla should feel confident they have that in them after scoring 40 against Manly, who hadn’t conceded 20 points all season, while the Gold Coast comfortably scored 30 against the hapless Brisbane Broncos.
The $2.80 for Cronulla 13+ at Marantelli Bet is a good price, while the Titans by the same margin is juicy at $7 with Sportsbet.
The $11 on offer for Anthony Don in the first tryscorer betting represents terrific value, while Jesse Ramien at $13 for Cronulla is hard to ignore given how much of a strike weapon he can be close to the line.
Sione Katoa is second in the overall NRL tryscoring race and paying $4.75 with Ladbrokes to score a double. His combination with Shaun Johnson in recent weeks indicates they are every chance of linking up at least once to get on the scoreboard.
