All odds are provided by leading online bookmakers recommended by Bettingsite.com.au

Flemington Race 4: #5 Mimi’s Award @ $4.00

The Ben & JD Hayes-trained Mimi’s Award was first across the line the Banjo Patterson Series Final on July 2, before the mare had the win sensationally taken off her in the stewards room. The four-year-old continually kept coming away from the rail and interfered with eventual winner Monbaher over the final 300m. There is little doubt in our mind that if she had run straight, she would have kept her rival at bay and won the race regardless. There is not much different about this race compared her last start, and from barrier seven, Daniel Stackhouse should have her settled midfield with cover. With 54kg on her back, it will only benefit her chances of rounding up her rivals once again.

Rosehill Race 9: #13 Frumos @ $2.05

Four-year-old mare Frumos just oozes quality, so we are looking forward to seeing her take it to the next level on Saturday. The Chris Waller-trained galloper is unbeaten after two career starts, winning both races by a fair margin at Newcastle in June. By American stallion Kitten’s Joy, Frumos has been simply dominant over 1400m to start her career, and that is where Waller has left her for the time being. Her last-start victory was a painless watch for her backers, as she just idled up to her rivals in the straight and went past them under a tight hold, so we are expecting to see quite the turn of foot if push comes to shove. William Pike hops in the saddle, she has the minimum weight of 53.5kg and strikes not the strongest of fields, so we are anticipating her record will remain unbeaten.

Eagle Farm Race 5: #6 Spiritualised @ $3.70

Tony Gollan’s colt Spiritualised was a deserving maiden winner at the Sunshine Coast on June 19 over 1000m. The son of Spirit Of Boom had previously finished second in his two career starts behind the Group-performed Jemeldi, but we didn’t expect him to win as convincingly as he did – posting a three-length margin in slick time. The form from that race has stacked up with Hoot ‘N’ Holler winning next start, while Big Sky Country placed at Rockhampton last Friday. The other two-year-old race on the same day was run in almost identical time, and that race has produced subsequent winners All That Pizzazz, Cool ‘N’ Ready and Bulikov, so we are expecting Spiritualised to take some beating in this. James Orman will send the two-year-old forward from barrier nine and he should be extremely hard to beat.

Morphettville Race 9: #1 Morean @ $2.70

The Anthony & Sam Freedman-trained Morean comes across to Adelaide following strong form in Victoria and looks well placed to bring up a deserved win. The three-year-old filly has not tasted success since her debut, but six starts later she should be bringing up a second career win. In her five starts since, she has gone down by a combined two lengths, and more of that form should see her win this. From barrier four, look for Ben Price to use his 2kg claim to his advantage and have his mount position in the one-one throughout. Morean clearly has the best form heading into this BM62 for fillies and mares, and the $3.10 with online bookmakers is a price we are willing to get involved at.

Belmont Race 1: #1 Aztec Ruler @ $2.05

Two-year-old Aztec Ruler looked ultra-impressive when saluting on debut over 1000m at Belmont, jumping out of the ground in the concluding stages to win in the shadows of the post. Trainer Stefan Vahala has now opted to step the son of Universal Ruler out to 1200m, which should only suit him more. Chris Parnham has stayed in the saddle, which is pleasing to see, and this race doesn’t have any standout gallopers in the field, so we are expecting Aztec Ruler to keep his unbeaten record intact.
