NBL Round 10 betting predictions
Taipans vs Breakers: Only three teams in the league have won three of their last four matches, and one of those teams is Cairns. A strong record at home has helped the Taipans jump up to sixth on the NBL ladder, two spots above a NZ side that has only won three out of their 11 games. The Taipans are coming off wins against Melbourne United, the Perth Wildcats and the Brisbane Bullets, three quality teams.
United vs 36ers: It is still hard to tell whether the Adelaide 36ers are the real deal, considering they have lost easy matches but won as underdogs. Melbourne United lost its last two matches on the road, after winning three straight home games. You can see that United plays best at Melbourne Arena, which is where they will beat the 36ers this Saturday.
Phoenix vs Wildcats: When two of the top three teams meet, you know it is going to be a close one. South East Melbourne Phoenix are 4-3 when playing at home, the same record the Perth Wildcats have when playing away. The only difference is that SEM share a stadium with Melbourne United, so those home games don’t offer much advantage. Taking away losses to United and the very strong Sydney Kings, Phoenix are 4-1 at home. The Wildcats have won two games straight, but they will find it hard to get a win in Melbourne.
Kings vs Taipans: The Taipans have been in good form but will not have the strength to defeat the Kings, who have only lost a single game this season. Cairns will play its second game of the round on the road in Sydney, a tough task for the best teams. Coming into the round off back-to-back wins over the two Melbourne teams, the Kings are in a position of power. Casper Ware and Andrew Bogut are dominating and will lead Sydney to another win on Sunday.
