Two of the top three Big Bash League teams will face off at the MCG this Wednesday night when the Melbourne Stars host the Sydney Thunder.
Sitting first and third respectively in the BBL09 standings, the Stars and Thunder are two of the most watchable teams in the league and boast top-tier players with both bat and bowl.
The Stars have been good enough to win five of their six matches, placing them on top of the league, whilst the Sydney Thunder have won three of their six games.
These teams played each other only last week at the Sydney Showgrounds, where the Stars won in the final over with three wickets remaining.
The opening duo for the Sydney Thunder only made one run on the day, whilst Nick Larkin (65) and Marcus Stoinis (58) batted the Stars to victory after a slow start.
Regardless of past results, this match is set to be a thriller at the MCG.
