Bulldogs vs Warriors NRL betting preview
If the Canterbury Bulldogs want to get off the bottom of the NRL ladder, they have a great chance on Sunday afternoon to do so.
An inspired effort against the Tigers saw the Doggies lead with 10 minutes remaining, which momentarily put Brisbane in 16th place before Wests snatched the win at the death.
Since Dean Pay was given his marching orders, Canterbury’s attack has gone from averaging 10.5 points per game to 14.8.
That might not sound like anything fantastic, but in those five games they cracked 20 twice and even knocked off the Knights in Newcastle.
To put the 20 points into perspective, they’d only reached that mark twice in their last 16 games under Pay dating back to round 18, 2019.
They still come in as the $2.25 underdogs, but it might be worth riding them home in this one.
The New Zealand Warriors have been full of courage this season, with their last four weeks of footy being particularly pleasing.

After giving both the Roosters and Panthers a big scare, they defeated the Sea Eagles and Tigers in stunning fashion.
NZ come into this contest as the deserved favourites at $1.75, but you just wonder if they might have a flat week after putting together such a terrific month.
What may swing the game the way of the Bulldogs is the return of Will Hopoate back at fullback, with his fast hands in the back line certain to open up chances out wide.
Avoid the 13+ margin for either side, as this will no doubt be a tight contest with the Dogs looking to lift themselves off the bottom of the ladder.
After impressing on debut, Matt Doorey has earned a starting jersey in Canterbury’s back row and is paying a hefty $34 to score first. Could his fairytale continue?
For the Warriors, Kodi Nikorima at $23 to notch the opener and $4.25 to score any time offers some good value, as his fast feet could cause a bust on the edge or give him space to finish off through the middle.
