MELBOURNE and Richmond meet at the MCG on Sunday night in a match-up that both teams simply cannot afford to lose.
The Demons have been terrific at stages this season and abysmal in others.
Their round one win against the Giants was arguably their best win of the season; but the Dees were unable to back it up a week later; losing to an Essendon team that was not expected to win a single game in 2016.
The Demons have not won two games in a row since 2011 but Paul Roos’ men will be supremely confident they can break the duck on Sunday night.
The Tigers have their backs against the wall after three losses in a row.
Last week’s match against the Eagles in Perth was borderline uncompetitive for the visitors, who were out of the contest after just one quarter.
A loss against the Demons on Sunday night could almost rule them out of finals action – even at this early stage.
It all bodes for a magnificent contest.

Jack Viney
What a season the son of Todd is having.
Only once this season has Viney failed to surpass 28 touches in a game, and he has surpassed the 30 disposal mark twice in 2016.
Viney has turned himself into one of Melbourne’s most reliable possession gatherers and we are backing him to get 30 or more on Sunday night.

Dom Tyson
We are going for a prodigious young on-baller at odds here to get a big disposal tally.
Dom Tyson has had a decent start to the season, averaging 21 disposals across the opening month, but we are confident the bright lights of Sunday night against the Tigers will bring out his best.
The former Giant has shown in the past he is more than capable of amassing mass disposals if given the chance.
Viney and Jones will take all the opposition’s attention; giving Tyson the opportunity to slip under the radar.
