Saturday night basketball continues in the City of Churches when the Adelaide 36ers host the Perth Wildcats in NBL action at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. The Wildcats have been suffering a horrible streak of five losses in a row, while Adelaide bounced back against the Hawks on Thursday to beat them by 16 points and stop their two match losing streak.

The Hawks have lost three of their last five games against the Hawks, but their return to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre could be the catalyst the 36er’s need to continue their winning form. For the Wildcats, they’re still on the road recovering from their narrow loss to the Phoenix, which has only been compounded by big losses to the United and JackJumpers.

Jesse Wagstaff often plays second fiddle to Bryce Cotton for the Wildcats, and if he is shut down effectively, it can make life very difficult for them. What’s even more encouraging for Robert Franks and the 36ers is the fashion in which he scored against the Hawks. Should Franks continue to lock down the defensive end of the court for the 36ers on someone like Wagstaff, and operate as efficiently as he can on the offensive end, the 36ers will be incredibly difficult to beat on their home court.
