2025 IPL odds: Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai head title betting
Cricket bookmakers have three clear favourites to win the 2025 IPL, which starts on Sunday morning (AEDT), with Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings leading betting markets.
Mumbai ($5) are slight favourites across most T20 betting sites despite having finished 10th in the 2024 season.
The five-time champions have local stars Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav, as well as overseas recruits Trent Boult and Mitchell Santner.
Boult ($13) and Bumrah ($15) are both strong prospects to be the top bowler of the tournament, while Suryakumar ($13) is a favourite to top the batting charts.
Hyderabad and Chennai are priced just behind Mumbai on $5.50 apiece at PlayUp, with each compiling strong squads of their own.
Sunrisers finished runners-up in last year’s competition and have retained many of the same players, with Travis Head, Pat Cummins and Heinrich Klaasen their key imports.
Having cracked 250 runs on three occasions in 2024, Hyderabad are $5 favourites at BetOnline to have the highest innings score this season.
Chennai have a typically spin-heavy attack with Indian veterans Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, as well as Afghani youngster Noor Ahmed.
Finishers Sam Curran and MS Dhoni join Kiwi Devon Conway in the batting lineup too.
After the three favourites, the outright odds with IPL bookies lengthen significantly.
Six of the seven remaining teams sit between $9 and $12 to win, with only Rajasthan Royals priced as genuine longshots at $17.
