Top odds, best bets & multi picks for A-League Round 20

2017/18 A-League soccer betting

AS ever, there is plenty of money to be made if you can crack the code to this week’s A-League results.

We have opted for the favourites in every match and still come up with a double-digit payout over only three legs.

Here’s hoping we do just a little better than last week, when Brisbane Roar’s 2-1 win over Melbourne Victory put us out at the first time of asking.

Western Sydney Wanderers vs. Newcastle Jets

Friday, February 16 – 7:50pm AEDT – Spotless Stadium, Sydney

Wanderers are heading back in the right direction after two wins on the bounce. Next up is a tough assignment against Newcastle Jets, who have risen from the wreckage of a dismal 2016/17 to hold second place for most of the campaign to date. WSW’s home field advantage levels out the match odds, but the Jets are going pretty well and should have this covered.

Wellington Phoenix vs. Perth Glory

Saturday, February 17 – 3:35pm NZDT – Westpac Stadium, Wellington

There will be no rising from the ashes for the Phoenix this season. The best they can hope is that either Central Cost or Perth beat them to the wooden spoon. With one win from their last seven games, the Glory are having a real stinker of their own. That, combined with their 5-2 loss on their last visit to NZ, adds up to a rare Wellington win in our books.

Adelaide United vs. Central Coast Mariners

Saturday, February 17 – 7:20pm ACDT – Coopers Stadium, Adelaide

The Reds of South Australia are the only thing even resembling a clear favourite in the A-League this weekend. United are sitting pretty in fourth spot after back-to-back wins and will fancy their chances against one of the division’s weakest teams. The Mariners have plenty of capable players, but a record of three wins from 19 games tells you all you need to know.
