Tavago out of Moonee Valley WFA race
Last year’s Australian Derby winner Tavago has been withdrawn from the Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes because of a cut to a leg.
The Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained Tavago was scratched from Saturday’s Group Two 1600m race at Moonee Valley on Friday afternoon, reducing the field to 10 runners.
Busuttin Racing posted on Twitter that the cut required treatment which ruled Tavago out of Saturday, but said he would be fine to run at Flemington a week later in the Group One Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m).
