A spot in the top four is available for the Sydney Swans this weekend at the SCG, but they have to knock off an enthusiastic Gold Coast outfit to climb the AFL ladder.

The Suns have been playing much better this season despite their 2-5 record, as they have once again struggled converting their good play into victories.

John Longmire’s Swans currently sit with an inverted record to the Suns, as they have already notched up five impressive wins from the first seven matches.

The Swans are going to be a very hard team to beat in the future, as their squad is filled with supremely talented young up-and-coming stars.

Stuart Dew and the Gold Coast Suns also have plenty of talented youngsters, but they also have just as many players who are struggling to live up to their early draft hype.

It will not be an easy task for the Suns to knock off the Swans at the SCG, but they have won three of the last five matchups and could pull off another big upset.

Key matchup: Callum Mills vs Touk Miller

In terms of defensive accountability, there are no better examples in the midfield than Callum Mills and Touk Miller. The two star on-ballers are both very good at working both ways and helping out their teammates across the entire ground, which allows them to rack up plenty of disposals.
