BBL08’s final match of the regular season will be between two of the top four sides in the competition.

The fourth-placed Melbourne Stars will host the second-placed Sydney Sixers at the MCG this Saturday.

Sydney is guaranteed a position in the finals, but whether they will face the Hurricanes in Hobart or one of the Melbourne sides will be determined in this match.

A win would secure a home Semi Final for the Sixers, something that will be on top of their agenda heading into this heated clash with the Stars.

With the opportunity to overtake cross-town rivals, the Renegades, the Stars will also enter the match expecting the best from their players.

Back in December, when these sides faced for the first time, it was the Stars who celebrated the victory, winning by 5 wickets with five overs left to play, a true belting.

The contest will be more even this time around as the Sixers will have access to Australian Test spinner Nathan Lyon, who could be a valuable asset if they decide to let him play.
