The undefeated Sydney Sixers will look to build on their superb start to the Big Bash League when they welcome the Hobart Hurricanes to the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday night.
Having won BBL09 and BBL10, the two-time reigning champions will be looking to make it three wins from as many starts following victories over the Melbourne Stars and the Hurricanes, who they faced in Launceston on Wednesday night.
Led by a superb 73 off 48 balls by captain Moises Henriques, the Sixers set a respectable 9/144 off their 20 overs at UTAS Stadium, and despite looking to be 20 runs below par, they gave their bowlers something to defend.
It was a team effort with the ball; Tom Curran (3/27) and Hayden Kerr (3/15) were the standouts, while Chris Jordan and Ben Manenti kept things nice and tight during their respective spells.

The Hobart Hurricanes will be disappointed with the way they batted against the Sixers on Wednesday, having gone from 2/70 to 5/78 within the space of 10 balls. Peter Handscomb stood up with 47 off 31 balls, but he had no support from his middle-to-lower order.
With Australian internationals Joel Paris and Nathan Ellis at their disposal during the powerplay and the mystery leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane during the middle overs, the Hurricanes will be confident they can bounce back on Saturday night.
With the Sixers returning to the SCG, they are $1.75 favourites with online bookmakers to go 3-0 in the BBL, whilst the Hurricanes look to provide some value at $2.15 to flip the script.
Sydney Sixers vs Hobart Hurricanes betting predictions
Sydney Sixers top runscorer: Moises Henriques
With all eyes on Josh Philippe and James Vince at the top of the order, the anchor of the Sydney Sixers batting performances this season so far has been Moises Henriques. Having been left out of the Australia and Australia A squads ahead of the Ashes, the captain of the Sixers is batting with a point to prove and he is making his case heard. The man known as ‘Mo’ has scores of 76 not out and 73 to begin the tournament, and with $4 on offer for him to be the Sixers’ top runscorer again this weekend, it looks to be a good bet.

Hobart Hurricanes top wicket-taker: Tom Rogers
Despite having the likes of Nathan Ellis, Joel Paris and Sandeep Lamichhane at their disposal, it is the relatively unknown Tom Rogers who has been the strike weapon for the Hurricanes. The right-arm quick finished with figures of 3/27 on Wednesday against the Sixers, including the big wickets of Daniel Hughes and Jordan Silk. He has been the Hurricanes’ top wicket-taker in three of their past four completed matches, and we expect him to repeat the dose on Saturday night.
