Premier League multi tips, best bets & specials – Matchweek 29
TOTTENHAM Hotspur were the big winners in Matchweek 28 of the 2017/18 English Premier League season.
With Chelsea losing at Manchester United, the Lilywhites leapt into fourth spot after edging out Crystal Palace in a hard-fought London derby.
Liverpool continued their excellent run with a 4-1 mauling of West Ham United, while Manchester City can restore their lead to 16 points when they face Arsenal on Friday morning.
In the bottom half, only four points lie between 19th-placed Stoke City and the Hammers in 13th.
Let’s see where the value is at Sportsbet.com.au.
Matchweek 29 EPL multi tips
- Leicester to beat Bournemouth – -125
- Watford to beat West Brom – +100
- Liverpool to beat Newcastle – -588.24
- Man City to beat Chelsea – -188.68
Leicester City vs. Bournemouth
2am AEDT Sunday, March 4 – King Power Stadium
Leicester have managed only two points from their last four games, and they would be disappointed not to have beaten Swansea and Stoke on those occasions. Bournemouth were on the mend until their 4-1 thrashing by Huddersfield two weeks ago, while they had to fight from 2-0 down to snatch a point from Newcastle. The form is not with the Foxes, but this is a good chance to turn things around.
Watford vs. West Bromwich Albion
2am AEDT Sunday, March 4 – Vicarage Road
Wins over Chelsea and Everton punctuated by a loss to West Ham sum up what has been a messy season for Watford. Even so, they are faring much better than a West Brom side that is barreling towards relegation after four consecutive defeats. Long gone is the fighting spirit and defensive discipline that Tony Pulis instilled at The Hawthorns, so it has to be the Hornets here.
Liverpool vs. Newcastle United
4:30am AEDT Sunday, March 4 – Anfield
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds were electric against the Irons last week. Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane all found the back of the net, but it was Andy Robertson who shone brightest of all with his exceptional two-way play on the left flank. Although Man City are the only team to beat Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle in 2018, Liverpool have more than enough firepower to fix that.
Manchester City vs. Chelsea
3am AEDT Monday, March 5 – Etihad Stadium
Will Man City be worn out after two trips to London in four days? They don’t have to worry too much about the second leg of their UEFA Champions League tie with Basel, so chances are good that Pep Guardiola will field a strong team against Chelsea. The Blues failed to cope with United’s second-half intensity last week and will struggle to hold off a City side that has goalscoring threats at every turn.
