NRL Round 22 odds and premiership update
It’s do or die for the finals contenders as we enter the last four weeks of home-and-away fixtures in the 2019 NRL Premiership season.
As only the Gold Coast Titans are now mathematically incapable of reaching the top eight, there is something riding on every single game in NRL Round 22.
Let’s see how the match odds and NRL futures markets are shaping up at Sportsbet.com.au.
Manly Sea Eagles vs Wests Tigers
7:50pm AEST Thursday, August 15 at Lottoland
Both these teams suffered surprise losses last week, with Manly coming up short in New Zealand and Wests done in by Canterbury. The finals-bound Sea Eagles are $1.32 favourites at home, while the Tigers are giving up $3.30. See our Sea Eagles vs Tigers preview here.
Gold Coast Titans vs Parramatta Eels
6pm AEST Friday, August 16 at Cbus Super Stadium
Gold Coast are all but assured of the wooden spoon after losing to St George Illawarra last week and head into Friday’s clash as $3.08 outsiders at home. Parramatta are well backed at $1.36 as they aim for a fourth consecutive win.
Brisbane Broncos vs Penrith Panthers
7:55pm AEST Friday, August 16 at Suncorp Stadium
Brisbane worked hard for an ugly win up in Townsville last Thursday, while Penrith’s youngsters impressed against Cronulla the day after. Home advantage gives the Broncos a slight edge at $1.70, leaving the Panthers with $2.15. See our Broncos vs Panthers preview here.
Newcastle Knights vs North Queensland Cowboys
3pm AEST Saturday, August 17 at McDonald Jones Stadium
Something has to give this Saturday as two teams on lengthy losing streaks look to revive their fading finals chances. Newcastle are paying $1.50 to claim their first win in seven weeks, while North Queensland are $2.53 outsiders on the road.
Melbourne Storm vs Canberra Raiders
5:30pm AEST Saturday, August 17 at AAMI PARK
Melbourne drove home their premiership credentials with a hard-fought win over Souths on Sunday, while it’s out of the frying and into the fire for a Canberra side that lost to Sydney. The Raiders are offering $3 away to the $1.38 Storm. See our Storm vs Raiders preview here.
South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Canterbury Bulldogs
7:35pm AEST Saturday, August 17 at ANZ Stadium
Souths have slipped to fourth on the ladder after two losses on the bounce and will be on their guard against a Canterbury side coming off back-to-back wins. The Bunnies are $1.28 favourites regardless, giving the Bulldogs $3.60 to deliver another upset.
Sydney Roosters vs New Zealand Warriors
2pm AEST Sunday, August 18 at Sydney Cricket Ground
Sydney took one step closer to a home final with their win over the Raiders, while NZ are still a chance for September action after knocking off an in-form Manly side. This is the widest market of the round, with the Roosters at $1.20 and the Warriors at $4.40. See our Roosters vs Warriors preview here.
Cronulla Sharks vs St George Illawarra Dragons
4:05pm AEST Sunday, August 18 at PointsBet Stadium
Cronulla will feel like they missed a trick against the undermanned Panthers last time out, but they are $1.30 favourites to respond at home. St George Illawarra are paying $3.18 to back up their drought-breaking win over Gold Coast.
