NBL Round 3 betting predictions
Sydney Kings to beat New Zealand Breakers – $1.26 at Sportsbet
The first match between Sydney and New Zealand will kick off the multi with a short-priced leg. The Kings have won their first two matches, whilst the Breakers are yet to play a game. It would be a powerful effort if the Breakers were to defeat the Kings first-up, which is why we are taking Sydney at home.
Perth Wildcats -12.5 against Cairns Taipans – $1.94 at Sportsbet
Playing their third consecutive away match will be the 0-3 Cairns Taipans, facing the reigning champions and yet-to-be-defeated Perth Wildcats. Just when you thought the Taipans needed a breather, they have to travel west to face one of the 2019-20 NBL title favourites. Perth will cover the line with the supremely talented Bryce Cotton leading the way at shooting guard.
Adelaide 36ers to beat Brisbane Bullets – $2.25 at Sportsbet
We have taken the Adelaide 36ers in the third leg of the multi due to their need for improvement after a recent loss to the Kings. Although the Brisbane Bullets look disciplined with their ball use, the 36ers at home will provide a much better contest. If Adelaide shoot the ball better this match, it could easily upset the 2-1 Bullets.
South East Phoenix to beat Illawarra Hawks – $1.31 at Sportsbet
Even with LaMelo Ball on the roster, the Illawarra Hawks are not favoured to win many games this season. The newly formed Phoenix won over the Brisbane Bullets last week and appear ready to win their third match. Mitchell Creek has emerged as a very capable NBL player after an impressive run on the national stage.
Sydney Kings to beat New Zealand Breakers – $1.65 at Sportsbet
The final leg of the multi will revisit the clash between Sydney and New Zealand. Despite the home court advantage to the Breakers and Sydney’s need to travel internationally, we still believe the Kings will win. The veteran combination of Andrew Bogut and Casper Ware will be too functional for the Breakers to stop. The Kings will finish the round with four victories and zero losses if they fulfil our predictions.
