NBA Thursday multi betting – best basketball tips for October 25 games
The 2018/19 NBA Season has already delivered plenty of upsets and memorable moments for basketball fans and punters alike.
As expected, the Cleveland Cavaliers have failed to win one of its first three games, but surprisingly, LeBron James and the Lakers are also 0-3.
After a 21-point victory over the Hornets (2-2), the Raptors hold the best record in the NBA at 4-0, proving that new recruit Kawhi Leonard has been a positive acquisition for the ball club.
Two of Tuesday’s matches went to overtime and were decided by a single point. The Wizards could have lost after John Wall missed two free throws with six seconds left on the clock, but the Trail Blazers couldn’t formulate a successful shot after obtaining possession.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Spurs were able to beat the Lakers after LeBron James also missed two crucial free throws in over time — an over time period he personally forced by hitting a three pointer from the car park with three seconds remaining.
Looking ahead to Thursday’s matches, let’s take a look at this week’s multi.
NBA Thursday October 25th Multi:
Cleveland to beat Brooklyn @ -129.87
Toronto to beat Minnesota @ -277.78
Miami to beat New York @ -208.33
LA Lakers to beat Phoenix @ -200
Golden State to beat Washington @ -625
NBA Thursday tips and analysis
Although the Cavaliers sit winless after three matches, they have been competitive. Kevin Love has put up incredible stats while carrying the Cavs alongside Jordan Clarkson and George Hill, who have both taken larger roles in the absence of Lebron James. Brooklyn were embarrassed by the Pacers in their last match and should lose again to Cleveland.
Toronto is the best team in the East as it currently stands, which should not change any time soon. The chemistry between the Minnesota players is questionable since Jimmy Butler requested a trade back in September and his team’s indifferent form won’t be enough to topple the Raptors.
The combination of Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic has allowed the Heat to excel this season. Though they only sit at 1-2, the Heat have come close in both their losses, with the combined losing margin only being five points. The Knicks play very risky basketball, which shouldn’t work against the defensive tenacity of Whiteside.
LeBron James will not accept losing his first four matches of the season. The match can easily be predicted due to the competitive nature of the new-look Lakers. The likes of Lance Stephenson and JaVale McGee have stepped into crucial roles and pulled them off with aplomb. Phoenix relies too heavily on a 21 year-old Guard in Devin Booker, who is good, but inexperienced. Lakers should tally their first victory.
After losing the Nuggets by two points, the Warriors were shocked. They have since beat Phoenix and should easily beat the Wizards for some extra value to the multi.
