NBA New Year multi – Thursday January 3 betting & free tips analysis
As the world collectively transitions into 2019, the NBA season doesn’t hesitate for a second.
There are many teams are ready make their moves in an attempt to climb the standings. Nine matches are rostered for the third day of January, including three of the top 10 best teams in the country.
Although the rivalry isn’t as strong as it used to be, the Heat will be on the road against the Cavaliers in what should to be a tight contest. Trae Young and the Hawks will travel to Washington to face the seesawing Wizards, who seem to play better with their star point guard John Wall out of the line up.
Another compelling match will be between the Hornets and the Mavericks who are both around the same strength with 18 and 17 wins respectively.
After losing three of their last 10 matches, the Grizzlies will look to get back on the winners list against the Pistons in Memphis. Finally, it will be the Thunder who travel to LA in order to face the Lakers without LeBron James.
Hopefully the New Year brings as much excitement and winnings as the year before, starting off with this multi for January 3rd.

NBA Thursday 3rd January Multi Analysis
Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat routinely find a way to defeat all the teams they should making them a safe bet this Thursday.
Being the favourites in this game, you can trust the Heat to stay slightly ahead of the Cavaliers for the entire match, with great outside shooting and rebounding in the paint a feature. Tristan Thompson playing injured with his sore foot is a key reason why the Heat will overcome the undersized Cavaliers, who would be senseless to give Thompson full game time.
John Wall may be out after undergoing heel surgery, but that doesn’t mean Bradley Beal won’t lead the Wizards to victory.
With the newly acquired Trevor Ariza, the Wizards have enough experience and class to outplay the still learning Hawks, who have not won many games on the road this season, 5 – 15. The Hornets will need to win with centre Cody Zeller who broke his hand in the last match against the Magic.
Kemba Walker may only be a point guard, but he can be as big as a centre when he needs to stand up for his Hornets. With Dennis Smith Jr as the man to guard Walker, it will be difficult for the Mavericks to stop his step-back jumper or court vision, as Smith Jr is only in his second season in the league.
The Memphis Grizzlies are poised to inflict further pain onto the Detroit Pistons this Thursday. After going down to the Magic after a terrific floater in the dying seconds from Even Fournier, the Pistons left Orlando with their heads down.
The Grizzlies have the combination of Mike Conley and Marc Gasol, who are crucial to winning matches, both of which are enjoying good seasons.
Both sides are 3 – 7 of their last 10, but the Grizzlies have the edge due to the home court advantage and ability to block shots, averaging 6 per game compared to the Pistons’ 4.
Simply put, the Lakers have been subpar without the king, LeBron James. With LeBron on the bench and Westbrook on the court, it is pretty straight forward who will win.
Lonzo Ball has defended tremendously well against most opposition, but fails to convince us he can guard the likes of energy machine Westbrook. Paul George will also enjoy a great game against the team he nearly signed with back when his future was unknown.
George will use his drive to the basket in order to score against the lengthy Brandon Ingram, who has proven himself as a good exterior defender.
