Finding winners for the EPL round 26 multi of the week

EPL Week 26WHAT an incredible season 2015/16 is shaping up to be in the English Premier League.

Leicester City is an unthinkable favourite to take out the EPL title ($2.80) after starting the season as $5000 outsiders through Bet365.

Chelsea on the other hand have suffered a fall from grace no one could have predicted, and after starting the season as $2001 outsiders to suffer relegation, the Blues are only seven points clear of the drop zone.

But enough of the boring stuff, let’s move onto this week’s multi and see if we can find some value.

We are predicting that two home sides and one away side take at least a point away from their match up, while we’re also backing Sunderland and Newcastle to cause an upset against their more favoured opponents.

As always, we have included an anytime goal-scorer multi, which this weekend represents enormous value.

Let’s get into it.

Sunderland vs. Manchester United

Where: The Stadium of Light, Sunderland

When: Saturday, 13th of February, 11:45pm, ADST

Where to watch: Fox Sports

First match of the premier league this weekend sees Sunderland hosting Manchester United at the Stadium of Light.

Manchester United came within mere minutes of breaking their Stanford Bridge hoodoo, but some solo magic from Chelsea’s Diego Costa salvaged a point for his side.

Sunderland came back from two goals down against Liverpool at Anfield, scoring twice in the final ten minutes to stun the hosts on their home ground.

Jermain Defoe scored the last gasp goal against Liverpool last week to secure the vital point for his relegation embattled side and is at $3.40 to score at any time via Sportsbet against the Red Devils.

Manchester United have won just one game in their last six away Premier League fixtures, and with the Black Cats confident after snatching a draw, the Sunderland win or draw double chance looks like a magnificent way to kick off this weekend’s multi.

Multi leg one: Double chance – Sunderland or draw: $2.00

Everton vs. West Brom

Where: Goodison Park, Liverpool

When: Sunday, 14th of February, 2:00pm, ADST

Where to watch: Fox Sports

Everton host West Brom on Merseyside for the second leg of the multi, with the home side flying and the visitors struggling.

The Toffees hammered Stoke last week 3-0 away from home, with star striker Romelu Lukaku again finding the back of the net – moving him into second place on the Premier League goal scorers tally with 16.

The Belgian super striker offers great value to score again at $1.91 against a West Brom team that has kept just one clean sheet in their last six matches.

West Brom lost last week to fellow cellar dwellers Newcastle, leaving them just six points clear of the drop zone.

The Baggies have now failed to secure all three points in their last six matches in the Premier League and have the worst record of any EPL team in the next year.

Expect that trend to continue at Goodison Park where Everton should be able to record a comfortable victory.

Multi leg two: Everton to win – $1.57

Chelsea vs. Newcastle

Where: Stanford Bridge, London

When: Sunday, 14th of February, 4:30pm, ADST

Where to watch: Fox Sports

Final match of the multi sees Newcastle travelling to London to face Chelsea at Stanford Bridge in a match that could have unthinkable relegation ramifications for the reigning champions.

It has been a fall from grace for the 2014/15 Premier League champions, with their title defence in tatters.

Jose Mourinho is gone from his position as manager, with former Socceroo shot caller Guus Hiddick in charge of the Blues in his absence.

Chelsea are undefeated in the EPL under Hiddick but have failed to win all three points on all but one of their last six matches.

After spending big in the January transfer window, it is time for Newcastle to show some fight.

Jonjo Shelvey and Andros Townsend came across from Swansea and Tottenham respectively on big money deals and both men proved their worth with terrific displays against the Baggies last week at home.

Townsend in particular looked a genuine goal scoring threat, hitting the post twice in the match.

He represents amazing value at $5.50 to score at any time for his new club.

The Magpies sit just one point clear of the relegation area and cannot afford to show any lapses in the dying stages of the season.

Chelsea have not won at home since mid-December of last year, and with a rejuvenated and restocked Newcastle team eager to prove their worth it looks like that trend will continue.

Expect the Magpies to come away with at least a point from the Bridge.

Multi leg three: Double chance – Newcastle or draw – $2.75
