Chautauqua ready for game day
The world’s best sprinter Chautauqua has been described as “a freak” by his trainer Michael Hawkes ahead of his race at Randwick.
The gelding they call the grey flash has impressed Hawkes during a training gallop at Rosehill ahead of his race in the 1100 metres Shorts at the George Main Stakes on Saturday.
“We are happy with where he is at but Saturday is game day,” Hawkes told AAP on Thursday.
