AFL grand final betting remains steady after team selection
Sydney Swans remain a $1.75 favourite to win the AFL grand final against Brisbane, following the teams dropping on Thursday night.
The Swans were forced to rule out skipper Callum Mills with a hamstring strain, but this was somewhat offset by the Lions losing their no.1 ruckman Oscar McInerney to a shoulder injury.
Mills being ruled out means the Swans will enter the grand final with the same line-up that accounted for Port Adelaide in the preliminary final.

The Swans, hunting their first flag since 2012, also named forward Logan McDonald despite suffering a rolled ankle against the Power.
Brisbane have also remained steady in grand final betting, priced at $2.10 to win, as they attempt to go one better than last season and emulate the Western Bulldogs’ feat of winning the premiership from outside the top four.
But they will have to do it without their popular big man McInerney who was ruled out of the grand final after he dislocated his shoulder twice in their preliminary final win over Geelong.
The Lions will now rely on journeyman ruck Darcy Fort to counteract Swans star Brodie Grundy, who looms as a key pillar in his team’s chances.
The Lions made just the one change and have named Darragh Joyce, Harry Sharp and Henry Smith as their emergencies.
For a second-successive season Taylor Adams looms as a heartbreak story, with the ex-Collingwood midfielder missing out on the Swans extended 26-man squad. He missed the Magpies 2023 flag with a hamstring strain before being traded to the Swans for more midfield minutes.
The Swans have named Peter Ladhams, Caiden Cleary and Aaron Francis as their emergencies.
