A-League Round 14 Saturday multi tips, odds & predictions

A-League soccer betting

Round 14 of the 2019-20 A-League season is one that must not be missed, as the three Saturday matches all loom as crucial fixtures in the race for finals.

You have two teams that are trying to push for the final six when the Wellington Phoenix and Western Sydney Wanderers clash, the second-placed Melbourne City travelling to Brisbane to play the Roar, and a battle between third and sixth with Perth Glory and Adelaide United.

Recent results have thrown up more questions than answers, and this round is shaping up as another tricky one for A-League tipsters.

Friday and Sunday’s clashes have not been included in our multi below as we have an article published for the Newcastle Jets vs Sydney FC match already, with plans to preview the Sunday match too.

A-League Round 14 multi betting predictions

Wellington Phoenix vs Western Sydney Wanderers: The sole New Zealand A-League side has been a bright light in the A-League this season, winning five of their 12 matches and drawing in three others. The Wanderers have been as up and down as an elevator during the season, making them far too inconsistent to include in the multi. A draw may be on the cards, but the Nix’s home crowd advantage should get them over the line.

Brisbane Roar vs Melbourne City: Our tip for this match originally sat as a victory to the Brisbane Roar, but after rethinking the situation, the second-placed Melbourne City is going to be one tough team to defeat. The Roar’s win over Western Sydney doesn’t give us full confidence in them yet, whilst City needs to do as much as possible to catch Sydney FC. Backing the draw is always a risk, but that is where we stand on this one.

Perth Glory vs Adelaide United: Perth Glory is the team that we think has the best chance to win this Saturday, making it the strongest leg of the multi. Adelaide United has been very solid this season without setting the world alight, whilst Perth sits equal third on the ladder with Wellington. The Glory’s superior strikers will overpower the Adelaide defence and secure the win at home.
