Zoustyle to be spelled after easy win
Impressive two-year-old Zoustyle is headed for a six-week spell after another easy win at Caloundra.
Premier trainer Tony Gollan was reluctant to get carried away after Zoustyle ($1.40) made it two wins from as many starts when he beat Red Doulton ($11) by 3 1/4 lengths in the QTIS Two Year Old (1000m).
However, after a round-table discussion with the gelding’s owners it was decided to spell Zoustyle.
“I was reluctant to commit him until after we had a good talk but we got together after the race and everyone is happy to miss the spring with him and then have him back next year,” Gollan said.
“He is a very promising horse and I want to do the best by him.”

Zoutsyle’s time of 58.81 seconds was just outside the class record of 58.75 which was a good effort on a soft track.
The gelding ran a class record for 100m at Doomben at his first start again on a soft track.
Zoustyle has been hailed a future champion by racing critics but Gollan has steadfastedly refused to join them.
“There are too many traps in racing to get too carried away,” Gollan said.
Jockey Brad Stewart took Zoustyle to the lead and wasn’t hard on the gelding in the straight.
“It is a bit scary how good he could be,” Stewart said.
