Winx pleases in barrier trial
Champion Winx has finished midfield in a barrier trial at Rosehill, pleasing her trainer and jockey with her condition.
Her rider Hugh Bowman was particularly happy with her mental state saying she was happier and more relaxed at this stage than before her last campaign.
Golden Rose winner Trapeze Artist won Monday’s 900 metre heat with Winx edging past top sprinter Redzel in the final 100 metres to finish two lengths behind the winner.
