Winx odds-on favourite to win Winx Stakes
Winx is an odds-on favourite to win her third Warwick Stakes which has been renamed in her honour.
Champion Winx has been odds-on favourite for 24 of her past 25 starts and nothing has changed in the lead-up to her next campaign.
The mare is at $1.10 to win the race renamed in her honour, formerly the Warwick Stakes which has also been upgraded to Group One status and will be run on August 18.
Winx has won the 1400m race for the past two years and, as usual, it is her planned first start ahead of a tilt at fourth Cox Plate.
In the TAB’s first markets posted on Wednesday, Godolphin’s Kementari is the second elect at $11 ahead of Winx’s Chris Waller-trained stablemate D’Argento and the Pat Webster-trained Happy Clapper.
The Waller-trained The Autumn Sun is the $6 favourite for the Golden Rose on September 22 ahead of stablemate Performer and Blue Diamond Stakes winner Written By, trained by Grahame Begg, at $11.
