Trainer Paul Murray outed for 3-1/2 years
Trainer Paul Murray has been disqualified for 3-1/2 years for cobalt offences relating to 2013 Doncaster Prelude runner-up Alma’s Fury.
Analysis of stored samples taken from Alma’s Fury showed elevated levels of cobalt and a bottle labelled Concentrated Trace Mineral found in Murray’s NSW South Coast stable in June, 2014, also contained high levels of cobalt.
Murray was found guilty of five charges, receiving a total of seven years disqualification and $1000 fine with Racing NSW stewards deciding there was commonality among four charges and his bans should be served concurrently.
