The Autumn Sun wins JJ Atkins Stakes
The Autumn Sun has charged home to beat Chris Waller stablemate Zousain and win the Group One JJ Atkins Stakes at Doomben on Saturday.
With Kerrin McEvoy on board, colt came from deep in the field to win the $600,000 race for two-year-olds by a neck, with Fundamentalist in third place.
Saturday’s victory means The Autumn Sun remains unbeaten from three starts.
