State Of Origin Game I anytime try scorer tips
Origin I – Wednesday, June 6 8pm, at Melbourne Cricket Ground
THE opening game of the 2018 State Of Origin series kicks off Wednesday and with some much new blood in the mix there’s plenty of value around in the individual betting markets.
A pair of Melbourne Storm stars – both old and new – represent great value while two Australian and state stalwarts will be right in the try scoring frame.
We’ve selected two players from either side that we think will cross the chalk at some time during Wednesday’s opener.
NSW Blues Anytime Try Scorer Tips
Josh Addo-Carr
The Storm superstar leads the NRL for total tries scored in 2018 and is the logical selection to score a try in his original debut. The 22-year-old possesses blistering speed and at the better than even money price we’re confident in selecting the Blacktown native.
Addo-Carr is at the $2.20 price to score a try in Origin I at Sportsbet
James Tedesco
Teddy has been in good form for the Sydney Roosters this campaign and will be relied upon to provide some much-needed experience for a young side. Tedesco is right around the mark in most attacking statistics across the entire league and we think he is a huge chance to find his way onto the scorer’s sheet come Wednesday.
Tedesco is a $2.50 hope at Ladbrokes to score a try during Origin I
Queensland Maroons
Billy Slater
In Billy the kid’s swansong the Storm superstar will be looking to make a strong statement in the opener. The veteran will provide some much-needed attacking flair for his side. He has been a big factor for the club side throughout the year and we’re backing him in to make a big impact.
Slater is a $3.10 chance to score a try in Origin I at Crownbet
Valentine Holmes
The only Cronulla Shark playing on Wednesday night will be looking to continue his ultra-strong representative form. From three Origin appearances Holmes has five tries to his name and is only one year removed from his spectacular showing which almost single-handedly won the series.
Holmes at $2.50 to score a try via William Hill at anytime on Wednesday night
