The Knockout of BBL12 is set to take place between the Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.
The Heat earned their place against the Renegades in dramatic fashion, but with doubt lingering over the availability of captain Usman Khawaja, will they be able to beat the home side?

Marnus Labuschagne has finally found form in the BBL after his incredible knock against the Thunder in Sydney. Labuschagne threw the batting text book away to record his highest ever BBL score, with Chris Green and the Thunder needing a classic diving outfield catch to remove him from the crease. Look for this form to continue, and possibly improve should Khawaja be unavailable, as Labuschagne makes himself the highest run scorer of the Heat side paying $4.
The last match at Marvel Stadium saw Renegades leg spinner Fawad Ahmed succeed and take three wickets for the home side. The Heat will need to take a leaf from the Renegade’s book and look to Mitch Swepson for leadership. While he was unable to be utilised in Sydney, he is the Heat’s premier spinner who has bowled well recently without having the wickets to really show for it. On the big stage, look for Swepson to stand up and take 2+ wickets for the Heat paying $2.60.
