Rabbitohs vs Bulldogs NRL betting preview
Whatever it was we saw in the final 55 minutes from the South Sydney Rabbitohs last Thursday, you can guarantee the same won’t happen again this week.
One reason is Wayne Bennett is too good of a coach to not address the slide, and the second reason is their opposition.
For all of Wests’ flaws, the one thing they have proven capable of is chancing their arm once the game is realistically out of their reach.
The Canterbury Bulldogs lack that ability, as they don’t have the off-the-cuff flair of the Leilua brothers, Benji Marshall or Adam Doueihi.
They are a poor imitation of the 2015 Sharks, who could grind with the best of them but lacked serious point-scoring ability.
Will Hopoate and Nick Meaney are the only players in their back line who resemble anything close to NRL-level players, while their forward pack lacks genuine starch up front and strike ability on the edges.

Throw into the mix the never-ending rotation of men in the playmaking positions, and it’s no wonder Souths are $1.11.
It will be a comfortable 13+ win for the Bunnies, and they are only paying $1.53 for that to happen.
Even the over/under of 45.5 is hard to pick because you’re relying on one side to do all the heavy lifting, but with cautious optimism we’d advise taking the overs.
Trying to make a case for the Bulldogs is almost impossible at this point, so why not take the disrespectful -29.5 line for Souths at a nice price of $4?
Since round 12 they’ve scored no fewer than 24 points in every game, while they ran up huge scores against Parramatta and Manly.
Campbell Graham got the double last week and Dane Gagai crossed first, but rest assured the recently re-signed Alex Johnston will come up with the goods in the first tryscorer market this week.
