EPL betting tips

The Premier League title race continues with a Manchester derby headlining this weekend’s 10-match slate. Here are our free soccer betting tips for Matchweek 27 of the 2023/24 EPL season.

Brentford vs Chelsea

Sunday, March 3 – 2am AEDT – Gtech Community Stadium

After their League Cup heartbreak last weekend, Chelsea are back into English Premier League action as they face the struggling Brentford. With just one win from their past six, the Bees are sitting dangerously close to the relegation spots. Although Chelsea are the stronger team, their record away from home is poor due to consistent defensive lapses. As such, Brentford captain Ivan Toney should have plenty of chances.

Everton vs West Ham United

Sunday, March 3 – 2am AEDT – Goodison Park

Given the boost of four extra points due to their FFP punishment reduction, Everton now find themselves out of the immediate relegation fight in 15th. Hosting West Ham this weekend, they will be looking to do the double after beating them 1-0 in the reverse fixture. The Toffees haven’t won a league game since December, however, while West Ham’s victory over Brentford last week was their first win in 11 outings. Call it a draw.

Fulham vs Brighton & Hove Albion

Sunday, March 3 – 2am AEDT – Craven Cottage

After an impressive 2-1 upset win over Manchester United last weekend, Fulham are quietly making their way up the table. They now have an excellent opportunity at home against Brighton, who have just one away win — against Sheffield United — since November. With just one loss from their past four at Craven Cottage, Fulham are a strong chance of a mild upset.

Newcastle United vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sunday, March 3 – 2am AEDT – St James’ Park

On a run of three wins in a row, Wolves have made their way into the top half of the EPL table. This weekend they head to Newcastle, who sit just one point below them on the table after their 4-1 loss to Arsenal. In a tough match to pick, keep an eye on Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, who leads the club in goals this season.

Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool

Sunday, March 3 – 2am AEDT – The City Ground

After winning the League Cup last weekend, Liverpool now turn their attention to another trophy as they head to Nottingham. Against a struggling Forest side, the Reds will be looking to hold their one-point lead at the top of the table despite their stack of injuries. With the odds skewed heavily towards Liverpool, one thing to note is that Forest have scored in each of their past nine matches, so look for added value in both teams to score.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace

Sunday, March 3 – 2am AEDT – Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Given a break due to the League Cup final last weekend, Tottenham resume their top-four hunt as they welcome London rivals Crystal Palace. With a string of injuries and no away wins since November, Palace are expected to struggle. Tottenham have conceded in 15 of their past 16, so despite their poor offensive record, Palace should get on the board.

Luton Town vs Aston Villa

Sunday, March 3 – 4:30am AEDT – Kenilworth Road

On a run of three straight defeats, Luton Town now sit four points from safety. It won’t get much easier for the 18th-placed side when facing Aston Villa, who are locked in a top-four battle. While it looks unlikely that Luton will be able to pull off an upset, they have scored in all but one of their home matches this season, which suggests they will trouble the Villa defence.

Burnley vs Bournemouth

Monday, March 4 – 12am AEDT – Turf Moor

Stuck in 19th and without a win in their past nine, Burnley need a miracle in the remaining weeks to avoid the drop. Welcoming Bournemouth, they face another side in poor form as they are without a win in their past seven. Although a result may be tough to pick based on form, Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke looks set to feast on a Burnley defence that has conceded 11 goals in three games.

Manchester City vs Manchester United

Monday, March 4 – 2:30am AEDT – Etihad Stadium

Sitting just one point behind Liverpool, Manchester City are in a position where they have to keep winning. After their 6-2 thrashing of Luton Town during the week, they come into this Manchester derby full of confidence as heavy favourites with online bookmakers. After Manchester United lost to Fulham 2-1 last weekend, it is hard to see them competing with City’s dangerous attack.

Sheffield United vs Arsenal

Tuesday, March 5 – 7am AEDT – Bramall Lane

The third team in the title race, Arsenal look set to boost their goal difference once again as they face the last-placed Sheffield United. With the worst-ever defensive record at this point of the season, the Blades look set to concede a few more with the visitors scoring 15 goals in their past three matches. Watch out for Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka, who has seven goals in his past five matches and leads the club for scoring this season.
