Premier League betting preview

Due to FA Cup disruptions, there are only four Premier League matches on the schedule this weekend. Below are our EPL betting tips for Matchday 29, with odds from Australia’s top bookmakers.

Burnley vs Brentford

Sunday, March 17 – 2am AEDT – Turf Moor

Despite a brave effort against last weekend, a late winner for the league leaders means Brentford have now earned just one point from their past five matches. Sitting just five points clear of the relegation zone, they have an excellent chance to secure points as they travel to the relegation-bound Burnley. Winners of the past two clashes between the sides, Brentford also have a much better attacking and defensive record this season.

Luton Town vs Nottingham Forest

Sunday, March 17 – 2am AEDT – Kenilworth Road

After surrendering a 3-0 lead during the week, Luton Town have now gone eight matches without a win. In a critical match for the relegation fight, they host an out-of-sorts Nottingham Forest outfit that sits just three points above the home side on the table. These teams both have leaky defences, so expect plenty of scoring opportunities at either end.

Fulham vs Tottenham Hotspur

Sunday, March 17 – 4:30am AEDT – Craven Cottage

Last weekend’s 4-0 win at Aston Villa was arguably the most impressive win for Tottenham since the appointment of Ange Postecoglou. With a chance to jump into the top four, they head to Craven Cottage to face the inconsistent Fulham. As the Cottagers have not beaten Tottenham since 2013, the soccer betting odds are against Marco Silva’s men, but given they have earned 25 of their 35 points at home this season, they may be more dangerous than expected.

West Ham United vs Aston Villa

Monday, March 18 – 12am AEDT – London Stadium

After their disappointing loss to Tottenham last weekend, the pressure is now on Aston Villa to bounce back as they fight for a top-four spot. Without their suspended captain John McGinn, they face a tough match against West Ham — a side that Villa have not beaten away since 2011. The Hammers have not kept a clean sheet in their past 11 matches, which opens the door for Villa striker Ollie Watkins to add to his 16 goals for the season.
