Owners want another chance with Chautauqua

The owners of Chautauqua have asked for the horse to be given more time with an equine behaviour specialist to mend his barrier manners.

The popular sprinter has failed to jump from the gates in six official trials and in his latest on Saturday at Rosehill he came out several lengths behind the field before finishing second.

Racing NSW stewards did not believe it was satisfactory but are considering the submissions made on Tuesday and will determine whether he will be given another chance.
