NRL multi specials, free tips, Round 25 bonuses & value odds
NRL multi enthusiasts will be pleased with BettingSite.com.au’s work following round 24 of the rugby league season.
We went with the safe as houses approach last week and it paid off. None of the results seemed to be in doubt at any stage and that is exactly the way we like it.
We are straight into round 25 however, and there is a lot more value around this week which means we will be able to deliver a better dividend.
Let’s get right to it.
Selections for the Round 25 NRL multi of the week:
Gold Coast Titans to beat Canterbury Bulldogs (-135.14)
Cronulla Sharks to win against the Sydney Roosters (-125)
Manly Sea Eagles to beat the New Zealand Warriors (-200)
Penrith Panthers to win against St George Illawarra Dragons (-204.08)
Combined multi value: $7 @ Crownbet.com.au
Gold Coast Titans vs. Canterbury Bulldogs
Saturday, August 26 from 3pm AEST, Cbus Super Stadium, Gold Coast
A match that means very little in the overall scheme of the NRL season kicks off our multi this week as the Bulldogs travel to the sunshine state to confront the Titans.
It has been a wretched year for the Titans, who finally axed senior coach Neil Henry after weeks of conjecture over his position. Will it incite a reaction from the playing group, or will they continue to play rudderless football?
The Bulldogs shocked the NRL by upsetting the Sea Eagles, but it just highlights the ineptitude of the squad as a whole. Similar effort throughout the season would have seen the Dogs competing for a finals position.
We are anticipating the ‘sacked coach effect’ to spur the Titans on to victory here.
Gold Coast Titans to win – -135.14
Cronulla Sharks vs. Sydney Roosters
Saturday, August 26 from 6pm AEST, Southern Cross Group Stadium, Sydney
The second leg of our NRL multi is undoubtedly the match of the round as top-four competitors the Sharks and the Roosters face off to consolidate their position.
Both sides come into the match on the back of wins, but neither are currently setting the world on fire.
The Sharks defeated the under-strength Cowboys in a scrappy match last week, which snapped a two-game losing streak. The Roosters only just overcame the Wests Tigers, a team they really should have hammered given their respective ladder positions.
It is hard to split the two teams but the Sharks could potentially win a seventh straight game against the Tricolours on Saturday, which sways our opinion the way of the reigning premiers.
Cronulla must find form now, and beating a fellow top-four aspirant should be just the tonic to kickstart their finals campaign.
Cronulla Sharks to win – -125
New Zealand Warriors vs. Manly Sea Eagles
Sunday, August 27 from 2pm AEST, Mt Smart Stadium, New Zealand
The third leg of our NRL multi sees the desperate Sea Eagles travel across the Tasman to face the woeful Warriors at Mt Smart Stadium.
The Warriors have lost six straight games and are currently the worst team in the NRL. A loss to the Sea Eagles on Sunday afternoon would equal a team-record seven consecutive losses.
The Sea Eagles’ season hangs in the balance following a shock defeat at the hands of the Dogs. Thankfully for Manly they occupy the eighth position on the ladder, which means their fate is in their own hands.
Manly also have a great record against the Kiwis, which has seen them win the last six matchups between the two sides.
We are backing the Sea Eagles to return to form here. The Warriors are an ordinary footy side who should prove no match for the finals-bound Manly.
Manly Sea Eagles to win – -200
Penrith Panthers vs. St George Illawarra Dragons
Sunday, August 27 from 4pm AEST, Pepper Stadium, Sydney
The final leg of this NRL multi sees the in-form Panthers hosting the Dragons in a match that has serious finals ramifications.
Just two wins separate the teams on the ladder and while the Panthers can solidify their finals position on Sunday, the Dragons can keep their top-eight dreams alive in victory.
A loss for either side, whilst far more impactful to the Dragons, could see both miss out on post-season action.
The Panthers are out to atone for their early-season capitulation against the Big Red V, a match they lost by 32 points. Can the Dragons raise a similar effort with their season on the line, or will the in-form Penrith continue their rampaging run towards the finals?
We think it is Penrith’s turn to inflict some pain on St George Illawarra. We are backing the Panthers to round out our multi the right way.
Penrith Panthers to win – -204.08
NRL Round 25 promotions
It is great when your multi gets up and you do not have to worry about the multi insurance specials, but it is always good to have a safety net in place in the event of disaster.
Sportsbet.com.au continues to offer its multi insurance deal, which means any parlay of five legs or more that fails by one match will see your stake returned up to the value of $50 in bonuses.
On top of this, Sportsbet will be paying any bet as a winning dividend if your selected team in a head-to-head investment leads at any stage by 12 points or more.
