Live in-play betting tips for India vs. Australia 2nd Test
TWO days down, and the Australians are on top once again.
After a fighting start in Bengaluru, the hosts came crashing down on day one as Nathan Lyon exploited some vigorous turn and loose strokeplay to claim a career-high eight wickets.
The tourists will walk out on the morning of day three with Matthew Wade (25*) and Mitchell Starc (14*) at the crease, four wickets in hand and a lead of 48 runs.
If you fancy having a flutter before we enter the second innings, now is the time to get your bets in.
India vs. Australia live match markets
India began the second Test as favourites despite the result in Pune, but that is no longer the case.
The hosts have blown out to +260 for the win at CrownBet, where they were paying only -105.26 in the lead-up.
The Aussies are in from +300 to -188.68, while the odds on a stalemate have more than doubled to +700.
Without the draw, India are paying +185 and Australia -256.41 at Sportsbet.
You can also get double chance odds for India or draw (+138), Australia or draw (-303.03) and India or Australia (-2000) at Ladbrokes.
We were leaning towards a draw in the pre-match betting, but the events of day one have rather fast forwarded the state of play in Bengaluru.
Get on the Baggy Greens to hold their nerve and make it 2-0 for the series.
Australia first innings exotics
The Aussies might be more than halfway through their opening dig, but there are plenty of in-play exotic bets still available at top cricket betting sites.
CrownBet has the over/under line at 295.5 for Australia’s first innings total, with the low side paying -119.05 and the high side -108.7.
The same bookie is also running a number of alternative lines and three-way markets, which you can see here.
The seventh-wicket partnership is drawing a lot of interest, with several online bookies taking bets on the next man out.
Starc is the -161.29 favourite at Ladbrokes, while Wade is paying +120.
The keeper needs a big knock, but Starc is the form man in the Aussie tail.
CrownBet is offering +390 for the big quick to slog over 49.5 runs, and we reckon that is well worth a crack.
Top batsman & bowler second innings betting
After what he did on the first day, it is no surprise to see Lyon heading Australia’s top wicket-taker market for the second dig.
The off-spinner is down to +188 at Sportsbet, ahead of Steve O’Keefe (+200) and Starc (+300).
The spinners are the safe bets in these conditions, but there might be value in backing Starc or even Josh Hazlewood (+400) to salute with some late reverse swing.
Although he is yet to fire this series, Virat Kohli remains the obvious +200 pick to top score on India’s second card.
Cheteshwar Pujara is next at +333, while Lokesh Rahul – his side’s best bat in two of three innings thus far – is paying +450.
If you are chasing the odds, Ravichandran Ashwin is fresh off a career-best year with the bat and paying +3300 at CrownBet.com.au.
