Horn homes in on Pacman ahead of historic bout
WE are just over a week from the most eagerly-anticipated bout in Australian boxing for the year, and punters are starting to warm to the home-town hero Jeff Horn against superstar Manny Pacquiao.
Sportsbet.com.au opened the Aussie as the $5.50 outsider, but a flood of money for Horn has seen him firm into $5.

The 29-year-old Brisbane product has attracted 45 percent of the money wagered on the bout.
The money for Horn has seen the heavy favourite Pacquiao drift slightly in the market.
Pacquiao’s odds moved from $1.16 out to $1.18, while the best backed win method for the fight is $2.29 for Pacman via TKO/KO.
The man who faces the daunting prospect of facing the hall of fame prospect Pacquiao said he cannot wait to get in the ring alongside the Philippines legend.
“I’m jumping out of my skin,” Horn said.
“I don’t usually spar that well close to a fight but I’m really happy with my work. They’re talking 50,000-60,000 people at Suncorp and the bigger the crowd the better I fight.”

Jeff Horn’s trainer said his fighter is primed and ready to go following his last sparring session on Friday.
“It was a war in there, and we are preparing for war on July 2,” Rushton said.
“I’m just glad he came through the three weeks of tough work against Czar without any little injuries because they always seem to happen in the last round of the final spar. Jeff will now go up another gear again on the day of the fight.”

Sportsbet.com.au representative Will Byrne said the punters have come hard for the home-town hero Horn.
“There may be a large difference in the odds but not in the money wagered as punters continue to come for Horn to spring a huge upset.”
