BBL 12 continues Christmas Eve with the Hobart Hurricanes hosting the Melbourne Renegades at Blundstone Arena in Hobart. While it is unclear exactly what conditions Blundstone Arena will provide, it’s very safe to assume they will favour the seam bowlers. Richardson has the height, pace and accuracy to take advantage of conditions with the newer ball and variations with the older ball. Expect Richardson to return to his best and be the Renegades leading wicket taker paying $3.60.

KEY MATCH UP: BEN MCDERMOTT v KANE RICHARDSON

The top order of the Hurricanes has struggled to start BBL 12 with McDermott in an unusual poor vein of form. The heavy hitting Hurricane has been an international run scoring hit man in short form leagues across the world and is clearly struggling to adapt back to Australian conditions. If Richardson can exploit any weakness McDermott has early, the Hurricanes may continue to struggle this season.
