Hartnell in centre draw for Melbourne Cup
Highly rated Melbourne Cup fancy Hartnell has drawn in the middle of the field for Australia’s richest horse race.
One of five Godolphin runners in the 3200m race, Hartnell will start from gate 12 in the 24-horse field.
Caulfield Cup winner Jameka will start from barrier three, Frankie Dettori’s mount Wicklow Brave has the widest alley and the Saeed Bin Suroor-trained Beautiful Romance will begin from the rails.
