GWS v Port Adelaide R14 preview
In the final match of round 14 in the AFL, two top-four contenders face off as the GWS Giants host Port Adelaide at ENGIE Stadium on Sunday.
At home, the Giants enter this clash as slight favourites at $1.62 with PlayUp, while the Power are at $2.30 with Unibet. The line is set at 8.5 points.
Last Saturday, the Giants’ poor form continued as they fell to Hawthorn by six points in Launceston. Despite holding a 19-point lead at half-time, GWS fell away in the second half, with the Hawks’ inaccuracy keeping the game close.
With just one win from their past five matches, the Giants have slid down to eighth on the ladder. However, top AFL bookmakers are confident they will return to form, as they still sit on the fourth line of premiership betting at $8.50.
GWS are set to be boosted by a couple of key inclusions as midfielder Josh Kelly and key defender Jack Buckley both return from injury.
The week before their bye in round 13, Port Adelaide fell to Carlton by 36 points at home. It was a close contest for three quarters, but the Power capitulated in the final term, conceding eight goals and letting the margin blow out.
Still sitting in fourth place, there are no major concerns for the Power. However, with their inconsistent performances, top Australian bookmakers are giving them odds of $4 to finish in the top four.
Port skipper Connor Rozee has been named to return alongside key forward Ollie Lord, while key position pair Charlie Dixon and Jeremy Finlayson have both been omitted. Defender Ryan Burton will also miss due to a foot injury.

GWS v Port Adelaide match predictions
These are two sides that can compete at the business end of the season. However, with their top-eight position under threat, expect the Giants’ stars to put in a big performance. In front of their supporters, back GWS to secure a close win by 1-39 points at $2.15 with online bookmakers.
GWS skipper Toby Greene always seems to find a way to kick goals at the most important time. With multiple goals in three of his last four matches, back him to put in a big performance with three or more majors at $2.60 with the best AFL bookies.
Playing across half-back, Dan Houston has been one of the Power’s most consistent performers this season. Since round four, he has collected over 20 disposals in every game, and with Burton out of the side, he will be expected to take more kick-ins. At $2.55 with top sports betting sites, he offers great value to collect 25 or more disposals.
