Sydney Swans vs. Western Bulldogs
Saturday, 1 October from 2.30am, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne
The first leg of our multi is the AFL grand final – what a match to kick things off.
The Sydney Swans are aiming to win their second premiership in four years and look the team to beat.
They face the Western Bulldogs, who are playing in their first grand final in over 50 years and carry the weight of expectation of their long-suffering supporters.
The Dogs have faced two lengthy road trips on their way to the MCG and after a host of injuries throughout the year we believe it will all catch up to them.
We are backing the Swans to kick us off in a winning way on Saturday.
Our tip: Sydney Swans to win – $1.61
Melbourne Storm vs. Cronulla Sharks
Sunday, 2 October from 7.30pm, ANZ Stadium, Sydney
Following on from the AFL grand final multi leg we head up to Sydney to punt on the rugby league equivalent.
The Melbourne Storm and the Cronulla Sharks at different stages throughout the year have occupied top spot on the NRL ladder.
The Sharks have looked ultra-impressive throughout the post-season, upsetting the Raiders in week one before hammering the reigning premier Cowboys last week.
The Storm have been consummate professionals, they knew what they had to do throughout the finals and have done all that is asked of them.
We sense that the Storm have had their eyes set on the big dance a long way out and have steeled themselves to produce their best footy when it matters most.
We are backing the Storm to win their second premiership this decade.
Our tip: Melbourne Storm to win – $1.85
Leicester City vs. Southampton
Monday, 3 October from 12.15am, King Power Stadium, Leicester
The reigning champions Leicester hostSouthampton at the King Power Stadium.
The home side are having a horror title defence in the Premier League so far, culminating in an embarrassing 4-1 defeat to the Red Devils last week at Old Trafford.
After not registering a win in their opening four matches Southampton has won two games in a row.
The Saints’ last win was an amazingly impressive 3-0 away win over West Ham.
The Foxes have been ordinary in the EPL this season but we are anticipating a turn around in fortunes this weekend.
We are backing the Foxes to get their name back on the winner’s sheet.
Our tip: Leicester City to win – $2.20
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Denver Broncos
Monday, 3 October from 7.05am, Raymond James Stadium, Tampa Bay
The Super Bowl champion Broncos travel to Tampa Bay to face the Bucs in a match that should not be too difficult for the visitors.
Denver have allayed all post Peyton Manning fears this season so far, boasting a perfect record which has seen them defeat the Panthers, Colts and Bengals.
The Bucs have been average this year and are in dire need of a win, even at this early stage.
The loss last week to the Rams was diabolical, and if they cannot overcome the Broncos Tampa may already be looking to next season.
Hard to see Denver slipping here, they are very professional and will not give Bucs’ quarterback Jameis Winston any room to breathe.
We are backing the Broncs to bring us home in style to give us a tasty overall multi return.
Our tip: Denver Broncos to win – $ 1.60
