Free tips and specials for the AFL Round 11 multi of the week

AFL multi bet of the week
THE dreaded bye weeks are upon us people – this is not a drill.

There is only six games of footy this weekend, but thankfully there’s some cracking match ups that have serious finals ramifications.

The Tigers could snuff out North Melbourne’s finals push if they can win on Saturday night, and the Dockers have the same opportunity on Sunday against the Pies.

The match of the round looks to be Adelaide and Geelong, who are meeting at Simonds Stadium in a game that could dictate a top-two finish.

There is so much on the line in round 11 and we cannot wait.

All odds for the 11th week of the AFL season were provided by Sportsbet.com.au, which is offering prospective clients a terrific deal for those who are yet to sign up.

Geelong Cats vs. Adelaide Crows

Friday, June 2 from 7.50 pm AEST, Simonds Stadium, Geelong

The Crows travel over to Victoria to face the Cats at Geelong to kick off our multi this week, and we are backing the visitors to cause an upset at Simonds.

Geelong was lucky to escape last week unscathed after a last-gasp win over Port Adelaide. The Cats were on the receiving end of several favourable umpiring calls late in the match and made the most of those to record a two point win.

Adelaide hit top gear last week at home, smashing Fremantle by 100 points in what was the most impressive win of the round. It was a comprehensive performance by the Crows, who had six individual goal kickers that kicked multiple goals.

The Cats have struggled to contain multi-faceted forwards this season, and the Crows could have the most dynamic attacking third in the competition. It spells trouble for the home side.

We are backing Adelaide to kick off our multi in style.

Adelaide Crows to win – $1.76

Gold Coast Suns vs. West Coast Eagles

Saturday, June 3 from 1.45 pm AEST, Metricon Stadium, Alice Springs

The battle between the coasters takes us into the second leg of the AFL multi as the Suns host the Eagles at Metricon Stadium.

Both teams are coming off disappointing losses that could have gone the other way.

The Eagles were torched in the last quarter by the Giants at home after leading for the majority of the contest. All-Australian star Toby Greene delivered a fantastic final quarter to help drag his team over the line.

The Suns were in control against the Demons last week in the first half but capitulated in the most spectacular way possible. Gold Coast led by 35-points but threw the game away in the second half, conceding 14 goals after half time to lose a game they seemingly had in control.

It looms as a must-win game for both sides, but we are backing the Eagles in here. The Suns have proven to be fragile when the pressure gets turned up and we think the West Coast will have the heat turned up from the get-go here.

West Coast Eagles to win – $1.60

North Melbourne Kangaroos vs. Richmond Tigers

Saturday, June 3 from 7.25 pm AEST, Etihad Stadium, Melbourne

A pivotal match awaits our multi on Saturday night as the Kangaroos and the Tigers clash under the roof at Etihad Stadium.

After a horrendous start to the season North Melbourne are travelling well and within striking distance of the top eight. Their gritty win over Carlton last week showcased that the Roos have fight to complement their attacking flair.

The Tigers overcame the Bombers to snap a three-game losing streak where they had lost each game by under a goal. The five-point win will boost the spirits of the group that they have the ability to close out the tight contests.

This is a do-or-die clash for the Kangaroos but we believe Richmond are the far superior team. The Tigers should record back-to-back wins for the first time in over a month to get their season rolling once again.

Richmond Tigers to win – $1.74

Fremantle Dockers vs. Collingwood Magpies

Sunday, June 4 from 4.40 pm AEST, Domain Stadium, Perth

The last leg of the multi sees Collingwood travelling to Perth to face the Dockers at Domain Stadium.

Fremantle is looking to bounce back after a horrendous match last week while the Magpies are looking to continue their terrific form.

Freo were smashed comprehensively last week by Adelaide in the city of churches. We think it would be best if Ross Lyon considered this game as an aberration.

Collingwood overcame the Lions in a sometimes scrappy affair last weekend. The Pies were well served up forward by Jamie Elliot, who booted four goals in his best performance for the year.

Fremantle is looking to make it four wins from five matches against Collingwood, and we think The Dockers’ attack will be too much to cover for the Pies’ flimsy defence.

We are backing Ross Lyon’s men to bring us home in style.

Fremantle Dockers to win – $1.83
