Free tips and bookie specials for the NBA Thursday multi
GET ready for a huge slate of Thursday NBA games to multi up a special.
With 11 games on the card on Thursday, there is something for just about every one.
We’ve eyed off every game and hopefully picked out a decent multi that can get the job done for you.
Three games kick off proceedings at 11am AEST, with two futile teams in the Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers joined by the New Orleans Pelicans’ visit to the Orlando Magic and the NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers heading to the Indiana Pacers.
Half an hour later at 11.30am, Aussie Andrew Bogut and his struggling Dallas Mavericks list the .500 Boston Celtics, with another Aussie in Matthew Dellavedova in action for the Milwaukee Bucks against the Atlanta Hawks and the New York Knicks hosting the Detroit Pistons.
At noon, the high scoring Houston Rockets visit the Oklahoma City Thunder in a match up of former star team mates James Harden and Russell Westbrook.
The high powered Golden State Warriors also have a challenge on their hands at the same time with a trip to eastern conference powerhouse Toronto Raptors.
At 1pm the Phoenix Suns head to the Mile High City for a clash with the Denver Nuggets and then the final two games on the card begin at 2.30pm when the Memphis Grizzlies visit the top of the west Los Angeles Clippers and the Sacramento Kings host the San Antonio Spurs.
Here is our crack at a multi we reckon will pay dividends.

Cleveland Cavaliers to defeat the Indiana Pacers
The Cavs have picked up right where the left off last season by dominating the east. They are atop the eastern conference and head to an Indiana team that is still finding its identity. The notable difference for the Cavs is the emergence of Kyrie Irving as a genuine superstar in this league. Pacers big man Myles Turner has been a pleasant surprise in Indi and, while Paul George is still the star, things haven’t yet clicked there and we are expecting Cleveland win in this one and at good odds with Lebron James resting.
Houston Rockets to defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder
This is potentially the game of the day – with apologies to the Raptors and Warriors. Two high powered offences featuring stars who are selfish scoring machines. And, whenever Russell Westbrook plays a former team mate, it’s going to be fun. While James Harden probably doesn’t give a toss about Westbrook, the same probably can’t be said for the fiery Thunder guard, and these two men could have a battle of who gets the biggest triple double. While both teams could be considered to have overachieved, we feel the Rockets supporting cast is far stronger than the Thunder and, on their home floor, Harden should be able to lead them to victory.
Los Angeles Clippers to defeat the Memphis Grizzlies
Could this be the season the Clippers go deep in the playoffs? If Chris Paul doesn’t choke and they can stay healthy, it could very well happen. Blake Griffin has been a man on a mission to start this season and, add towering defensive tower DeAndre Jordan and a super talented supporting cast and you have the recipe of a team that is top of the west, ahead of shining lights like the Spurs and Warriors. At the other end of the spectrum, the Memphis Grizzlies’ best player is a 39 year old guard who never seems to age. Vince Carter has been winding down the clock and, while we love to see him playing well, it doesn’t quite translate to many wins for the Grizz. Clips to do this easy.
San Antonio Spurs to defeat the Sacramento Kings
Just when you thought the Kings had turned it around by ending a four game losing streak with a win over one of the best teams in the east in the Raptors, they go on a two game losing streak to the spud Los Angeles Lakers and the not much better Portland Trailblazers. While that franchise has done itself no favours over the years, you get the feeling that their volatile star, DeMarcus Cousins is as much part of the problem. Even though it is on the road, this is the San Antonio Spurs. The Kings aren’t fit to shine their shoes.
