Free NRL Round 7 betting tips – value picks for multi of the week
LEAVE it to the Melbourne Storm to break our multi hearts on the final leg of our round 6 parlay.
All the pieces fell into place last week except the final one, which was the Storm’s first loss of the season.
Thankfully, anyone that took out a multi insurance got their investments back, but it still does not dull the pain of what would have been an $8.05 dividend.
We are onto the next week however, and we are confident that it will be our round.
Let’s take a look at the games.
All odds for the seventh week of the NRL action were provided by Sportsbet.com.au.
Free selections for the Round 7 NRL multi of the week:
Sydney Roosters to beat Newcastle Knights ($1.28)
Brisbane Broncos to beat Gold Coast Titans ($1.20)
Melbourne Storm to defeat Manly Sea Eagles ($1.54)
Penrith Panthers to win against the Cronulla Sharks ($1.70)
Combined multi value: $4.02 @ Sportsbet.com.au
Newcastle Knights vs. Sydney Roosters
Friday, April 14 from 6 pm AEST, McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle
The Roosters are out for redemption following last week’s embarrassing loss to the Broncos and the Newcastle Knights are fairly and squarely in their sights.
The Tricolours had their stocks lowered significantly against Brisbane last week, but they are a class outfit and will be baying for blood.
The Knights fought admirably last week but ultimately fell short against the Bulldogs. Their offence is among the best in the league but their defence leaves a lot to be desired.
We are backing the Roosters to right the wrongs of last week and get us on the board early on Good Friday.
Sydney Roosters to win – $1.28
Brisbane Broncos vs. Gold Coast Titans
Friday, April 14 from 7.55 pm AEST, Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
It is an all-Queensland affair on Good Friday as the Broncos host the Titans to close out the triple header.
The Broncos got their season back on track in a big way against the Roosters last week. Brisbane burst out of the blocks and never looked back, putting together their most complete performance of the season.
The Titans were dismal last week against the Raiders. At home they gave up 42 points to a team that had just one win to its name up until that point.
To compound their on-field woes, the Titans will have to overturn a ten year drought of wins at Suncorp Stadium against the Broncos.
We do not see how the Titans win this one. Brisbane is the safest bet of our Easter multi.
Brisbane Broncos to win – $1.20
Manly Sea Eagles vs. Melbourne Storm
Saturday, April 15 from 3 pm AEST, Lottoland, Sydney
Two teams looking to bounce back after disappointing losses meet in Sydney as the Sea Eagles host the Storm.
The Storm were stunned last week against the Sharks. The grand final rematch only yielded two points for the home side as Cronulla come to AAMI Park and hammered the team they conquered in the decider last year.
We are forgiving the loss however given the conditions were absolutely horrendous.
The Sea Eagles had a three game win streak snapped in sensational fashion by the Dragons. St George piled on 35 points while restricting Manly to their lowest score this season.
We are backing the Storm in this one. We believe last week was an aberration and they will flex their muscles in much better conditions in Sydney.
Melbourne Storm to win – $1.54
Penrith Panthers vs. Cronulla Sharks
Sunday, April 16 from 4 pm AEST, Pepper Stadium, Penrith
An all NSW match up closes out the multi this week as the Panthers host the reigning premiers in a match that they need to win.
Matt Moylan, Peta Hiku and Waqa Blake return after their club imposed suspension just in time for what is undoubtedly the most important match of the Panthers’ season.
However, they face a Sharks outfit fresh off their best win of the season.
Cronulla went down to Melbourne and whipped the Storm on their home deck. It was the home side’s first loss of the year and gave the Sharks true hope that back-to-back is not a pipe-dream.
This could go either way but we are backing the Panthers. They simply need to win and the banished trio will play a huge part in the outcome on Sunday.
Penrith Panthers to win – $1.70
