Free multi tips and bookie specials for NBA Saturday, November 12
A DECENT eight game slate of NBA action awaits us on Saturday.
Four matches kick off at 11am AEDT, with the Indiana Pacers visiting the Philadelphia 76ers, but Aussie number one draft pick Ben Simmons will still be on the pine, out injured. The reigning champion Cleveland Cavaliers head to the capital to be honoured at the White House, before having a crack at the Washington Wizards. The Charlotte Hornets welcome the Toronto Raptors and Aussie boys Joe Ingles and Dante Exum take their Utah Jazz on a trip to Florida to face the Orlando Magic.
At 11.30am, the New York Knicks tip off at the Boston Celtics, then the Los Angeles Clippers visit the Oklahoma City Thunder from noon, followed by Aussie big man Aron Baynes and the Detroit Pistons against the San Antonio Spurs in Texas.
Last, but not least, much maligned big man DeMarcus Cousins takes his Sacramento Kings to Portland for a date with MVP candidate Damien Lillard and the Trailblazers at 2.30pm.
There are no doubt some dicey ones in there, but we have sifted through each match to see if we couldn’t find you a multi with a good chance of getting up.
Here’s a five legger to have a crack at, with the added advantage of getting your money back if one them fails – up to $50 and provided you punt it with Sportsbet.com.au.

Philadelphia 76ers at the line vs. Indiana Pacers
The Philadelphia 76ers have had an almighty struggle, but they have not really been that bad in their bevy of losses. They kept the Thunder to within five points on opening night, went down to the Magic by two points when they should have won and then pushed the Cavaliers all the way in a 102-101 loss. It has not been a disgrace and, while the aforementioned Simmons has been out, this has become Joel Embiid’s team. The Pacers have mixed solid play with some stinkers, including a 22 point thrashing at the hands of the Charlotte Hornets. While we do believe the Pacers will win, thanks to the likes of Paul George and young big man Myles Turner, it won’t be a walk in the park in Philly.
Cleveland Cavaliers at the line at Washington Wizards
Would it be harsh to call them the woeful Washington Wizards? Not really. Another year, another lottery for John Wall and company. The Cavs, meanwhile, have been sublime, picking up where they left off in winning the title last season, by obliterating pretty much all comers. They are on the road, but there is no way they are going to visit the White House as NBA champions and then walk out and produce a substandard performance. LeBron, Kyrie, Love and crew to win. And by lots.
Charlotte Hornets to beat the Toronto Raptors
The Charlotte Hornets have been quietly building a sublime record in the east and, while they don’t have anyone outside speedy point guard Kemba Walker who carries any star power, that hasn’t stopped them from producing some outstanding results to start the season. Ditto the Toronto Raptors. It might be a three way battle between the Raptors, Hornets and Celtics for second best team in the Eastern Conference. This game will go a ways to separating the Hornets and Raps. While DeMar DeRozan has been on a remarkable scoring tear, we think that the battle of two of the east’s strongest teams will end up going the way of the home side.
San Antonio Spurs to defeat Detroit Pistons
While you can never completely guarantee a result, this is about as close as it gets. The Detroit Pistons are a terrible basketball team. The San Antonio Spurs are the complete opposite of terrible. We don’t think this is going to end well for the Pistons. The likes of Curry, Durant, Harden, Westbrook and Davis have been dominating the box scores and drawing all the headlines, but the Spurs quietly have a superstar of their own in Kawhi Leonard who has been putting together a rather memorable season. Leonard has shouldered much of the load in San An and responded with a well rounded line of over 26 points per game to go with 5.4 boards, 3.4 assists and 2.4 steals, all while shooting nearly 50 per cent from the field and locking down on his opponents. There’s no one on the Pistons roster that can guard him and, while big man Andre Drummond should cause a bit of a ruckus for LaMarcus Aldridge and Pau Gasol, the Spurs are simply too good to drop this one. Spurs by plenty.
