A-League punting tips for the Round 6 multi

A-League Round 6 multi
THE more things change, the more they stay the same in the A-League this season.

Sydney FC remains at the top of the tree despite winning in dubious circumstances last weekend, while the Adelaide United winless run stretched into another week after they were unable to overcome the cellar-dwelling Central Coast.

After the Mariners and the Phoenix both recorded their first wins of the season last week, the Reds remain the only team without multiple points to their name and are at the $15 quote at to defend their A-League title.

Some big match-ups this weekend and to match that we have put together a multi that will pay a huge dividend if it is successful, and as always we are as confident as you can get.

Sydney FC to win against Perth Glory ($1.67)

Combined multi value: $22.44 @

Central Coast Mariners vs. Wellington Phoenix

Saturday, November 12 from 5.35pm AEDST, GIO Stadium, Canberra

Second game of the multi sees two teams that registered their first win of their respective seasons meeting in the nation’s capital in the form of the Mariners and the Phoenix.

Central Coast has been sporadically good this year but failed to claim a full three points from any game this season until last week – defeating the reigning premiers away from home despite conceding the first goal of the match.

For all Wellington’s attacking prowess the ‘nix had been kept scoreless in the opening three games of the season, but after putting two past the Jets last week to open their winning account in 2016 could Ernie Merrick use this as the catalyst to kick-start their season?

The Mariners have lost just one to the Phoenix in their last five meetings and we are expecting the Coasters to win their second game in a row in Canberra.

Central Coast Mariners to win – $2.40

Melbourne Victory vs. Western Sydney Wanderers

Saturday, November 12 from 7.50pm AEDST, Etihad Stadium, Melbourne

Two of the A-League’s glamour clubs meet under the Etihad Stadium roof as the Wanderers of West travel to Melbourne to face the Victory.

The Victory were unlucky losers last week. A clear handball against David Carney was given against the former Socceroo, who went on to score the game winner for Sydney FC.

The Wanderers may have salvaged three points from their last three outings but Tony Popovic would not be happy that his men have given up winning leads in two of those games against opposition they should be beating.

Victory have dropped points just twice in the last five meetings between the two sides and have only lost once in that time, and we are favouring Kevin Muscat’s men to get the win at home.

Melbourne Victory to win – $2

Sydney FC vs. Perth Glory

Sunday, November 13 from 5pm AEDST, Allianz Stadium, Sydney

Final game of the weekend the undefeated Sydney FC hosting the Perth Glory in the NSW capital.

The Sky Blues have recorded five wins from their opening five games this season and still alone atop the A-League ladder. Whilst they are the $4 favourites for the title at there is not league-wide confidence in the undefeated Sydney FC.

Perth started the season recording seven points from their opening three games but have only managed to score a single point since.

The last time the two teams met the Sky Blues hammered the Glory 4-0, and while we are not expecting a similar scoreline, we are backing Sydney to maintain their winning streak.

Sydney FC to win – $1.67
